Senior schooling at Good Shepherd supports students in their decision making and steps towards independence beyond school, particularly in regard to their future education and career aspirations.
Guidance
In collaboration with subject teachers, House Team Leaders, Careers Practitioner and NTCET Coordinator, Good Shepherd ensures that students are aware of a wide range of career and educational opportunities beyond school, and support students in making decisions about what pathways and strategies are best for them.
The Careers Practitioner can provide guidance regarding University courses and entrance requirements, prerequisite subjects and industry requirements both through careers software and personal counselling on campus and also via events such as Work Experience and work placements, careers expos, visiting industry, experts, university visits and careers camps.
Senior Students have the opportunity of attending Careers Camps for university open days in Sydney, Adelaide, Melbourne and Brisbane each year.

Study Plans
The NTCET Coordinator ensures that at all times students have a study plan that will achieve their goals and provides support and strategies to assist students manage and modify their study to give them the best chance of success. Study plans are tailored to suit student aspirations and may include Vocational training or off-campus subjects as well as those offered on site.
