This artwork is named “The. And.”, the subject of which is the “blob” creatures and their battles against humans and other threats. This artwork was created using a BIC multi-colour pen and drawn onto a 110GSM A3 sheet of paper. When I was creating this artwork I was inspired by Leonardo da Vinci’s anatomical artworks, as well as William Kentridge’s art style of the Contemporary art movement.
My goal for this artwork was to create an art piece that displays the art style of my younger self. In creating this artwork, I learned new skills such as creating ground that appears to be uneven (as often used in Leonardo da Vinci’s artworks, which explore perspective) and creating “tendons” or “arteries” that connect the “blobs” together, as often used in Leonardo da Vinci’s anatomical artworks and drawings.
