This project required that I design and engineer an assistive device for a client who has Parkinson's Disease.
The purpose of the device was to make a specific task easier for my client. I chose to focus on tremors caused by Parkinson's. Minor tremors can be reduced by weighted products, for example, knife/fork or pencil.
I took this simple idea and created a product that could weigh down the fingers of someone with Parkinson's to help them with daily tasks.
I first designed this product digitally, to grasp the basic concept and design of the product. I then made the physical product.
