Hello Cello!
Year 6 students in their Creator Space lesson, had the privilege of hearing from guest speaker Stephanie Arnold who is a professional Cellist and teacher. We are so excited that Stephanie will be available for students to learn the Cello in 2023 at all Good Shepherd campuses.
Stephanie鈥檚 teaching philosophy centres on helping students discover a love for playing the cello, a love of listening to music and an enjoyment for playing music with others. She supports these ideas in her lessons by helping students achieve a base of strong technical security and encouraging their musical expression and performance skills. Stephanie believes learning music is about learning how to listen, how to think creatively and intuitively, learning how to express oneself and connect and work with other people. She has an open and flexible teaching approach which aims to create the most suitable learning environment for each student鈥檚 needs.
Stephanie has over 10 years' experience teaching and giving workshops across a range of schools in Australia and overseas. She has taught students of all ages and levels and has experience preparing students for AMEB exams.
Stephanie has a Bachelor of Music in Performance (Honours) from the Queensland Conservatorium of Music, a Master of Music Performance from the Melbourne Conservatorium of Music and a Master of Music from the Musikhochschule L眉beck (Germany). Stephanie works with several Australian based musicians and chamber ensembles, tours regularly with Opera Australia鈥檚 regional tour, and performs as part of Solstice Trio.
