German Trip - Saturday 17 & Sunday 18 June
On Samstag, an early start to the day at 9:30am brought the students to an adventure full of shopping. Lunch was had at a café with an interesting concept. Paying for your meal by the weight of the plate, not so much traditional meals, but definitely an experience none-the-less. Dinner was provided by our lovely tour guide Ally (Frau Aryan’s daughter). The students all seem to be enjoying their time to the fullest.
On Sonntag, we had a later start to the day at 11.00am. The day's activities included a train ride; touring the beautiful sites on the Dresden Park Railway. Lunch was provided by the Sommercafé am Palaisteich, serving an array of traditional German dishes in a rather fast paced environment which left some of the students stuttering their German. Then a walk through Großer Garten & Dresdner Parkeisenbahn, leading to a few more group photos.
The day ended with a splash at the Georg-Arnold-Bad. An outdoor waterpark, but despite the sun, the water was anything but warm. – Written by Alicia
